Belper House is preparing for a special Easter celebration for beer lovers, as the popular Belper bar hosts a Thornbridge Brewery Tap Takeover running from Wednesday 1 April through to Easter Monday.
The event begins with a launch evening on Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm, when representatives from the renowned Derbyshire brewer Thornbridge Brewery will be in the bar to introduce the range and chat with customers about the beers. Guests attending the launch can also expect a few brewery giveaways and treats during the evening.
What is a Tap Takeover?
A tap takeover happens when a single brewery temporarily takes control of many of the beer lines in a pub or bar. Instead of the usual mix of different brands, several pumps and taps are dedicated to beers from one brewery.
For drinkers it offers a rare chance to explore a full selection from a brewer in one place. Often there will be limited editions, seasonal brews or special releases that may not normally appear in local pubs.
During the Belper House event, Thornbridge beers will be available in a variety of formats including:
- Cask ales served from traditional hand pumps
- Keg beers poured from modern draft taps
- Cans for those who want to try something different or take a favourite home
A Derbyshire Brewing Favourite
Thornbridge Brewery, based in Bakewell, has earned a strong reputation among craft beer fans across the UK and internationally. Known for balancing traditional brewing with modern styles, the brewery produces a wide range of beers from classic pale ales to bold craft favourites.
Events like this allow drinkers to sample several of those beers side by side and discover new favourites.
An Easter Week Treat
With the takeover running right through the Easter weekend, visitors will have several days to enjoy the selection. Whether you drop in for the launch evening or pop by later in the week, the bar will be pouring Thornbridge beers across multiple lines.
Belper House expects the event to attract both regular customers and craft beer fans from around the area, making it one of the town’s standout Easter pub events.
Beer enthusiasts are encouraged to arrive early on launch night to meet the Thornbridge team and pick up any limited giveaways while they last.
