Lead Like a Lady: New Chesterfield Initiative Empowers Women in Leadership

Chesterfield is set to host a powerful new networking and leadership development group designed exclusively for women in senior roles.

Lead Like a Lady launches this month, offering free monthly gatherings where women leaders can connect, share experiences, and sharpen their leadership skills in a supportive environment.

Founded by a 34-year-old Chesterfield-based CEO, the initiative aims to break down barriers for women in leadership across all industries — from business owners and executives to public sector managers and aspiring leaders.

“There are still too few spaces where women leaders can openly share experiences and grow together,” said the founder, who is currently completing a doctorate on managing workplace incivility — one of the many topics the sessions will explore.

Each monthly event features:

  • Structured networking with like-minded professionals

  • Leadership skill-building workshops

  • Inspirational guest speakers on themes such as leading with kindness, confidence at work, and tackling workplace incivility

The first session will take place on Wednesday, 21st August, from 6:15pm to 7:30pm at Wingerworth Parish Hall. Future sessions will be hosted at different venues across Chesterfield to ensure accessibility.

Attendance is free, but spaces are limited to encourage meaningful connections.

Women in leadership roles across the private, public, and voluntary sectors are encouraged to register early.

Event Details:

  • First meeting: Wednesday 21st August

  • Time: 6:15pm – 7:30pm

  • Venue: Wingerworth Parish Hall

  • Cost: Free (spaces limited)
